February : How We Empower Women Throughout The Year
Empowering women and girls for generations to come
This February, a memorable legislation was passed for women in Scotland. This legislation made all feminine hygiene products free and available in public spaces such as community centers, pharmacies, and youth centers. The bill passed made hygienic products, like pads and tampons, free for everyone. Why are we telling you this? As a brand with women as our #1 customer, supporting women’s equal rights and women’s empowerment is a given!
We are always looking for ways to support and empower women inside and outside our company. Our skincare products are meant to empower the lives of women through effective formulas, expert guidance, and nurturing self-care rituals. Currently, we support women in a variety of ways such as on our advisory board, within our brand, and with the initiatives that we choose to support.
During 2020, our brand partnered with The All Womxn Project to produce a series of videos highlighting women from different backgrounds for International Women’s Day. The videos showed women that every single skin journey is unique and that it’s important to celebrate it. By the same token, no two women are alike and it’s important to celebrate that we are all unique in our own ways.

Our Skin Advisory Board is composed of three powerful women, Dr. Shasa Hu, Dr. Katlein Franca, and Molly Knauer, RDN. All three women are experts in their field and are true powerhouses in the industry.

Dr. Shasa Hu is a board-certified dermatologist in Miami and co-founder of mybialife.com, a resource for women to find dermatologist-approved products. Dr. Katlein Franca, also a board-certified dermatologist based in Miami, has written a variety of books and textbooks about dermatology and is currently the president of the World Health Academy of Integrative Dermatology. Molly Knauer is a registered dietitian with a master’s in clinical nutrition and the author of the popular lifestyle blog, Molly’s Best. All three women assist in helping the brand reach its full potential by providing valuable industry discoveries, expert advice, and unparalleled insight.
Of our headquarters team, warehouse and sales team, 52 employees are women with the majority having worked there for more than 5 years. That’s 65%! We not only empower women, but show them that their time, work, and dedication are important and valuable. Without the amazing women in our company, our brand would not be what it is.
